A Reason to be Grateful
Gratitude: a powerful catalyst for happiness. This is the year to be grateful for all of life’s resources that have been given to us, and all the people that are a part of, and enrich, our lives.
We live in this historical time period, which can be defined as a transition period. As we head out of this pandemic we need to create a world where we are kind to each other no matter what! We have a chance to do something extraordinary.
Social Freedoms and Restrictions
We have only discovered what our social freedom was worth now that it is being restricted to us. Our prior social freedom has taken on a greater value that we did not know and possibly took for granted. We have reason to be grateful and celebrate the present. Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. Rather than focusing on our restrictions, we should be thankful for the ability to communicate with others, regardless of distance.
The world has a multitude of possibilities. We need to be responsible towards one another. Recognize the value of existence of the sacred principle, which is the right to life. Taking care of those that I do not know also means taking care of myself and my world. It means helping to safeguard the world. Do we want a world that helps and respects the other? Being responsible means holding firm to the principle of caring for my neighbour. Feeling part of a community whom I must maintain an attitude of respect.
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. Let love and kindness be our road map.
